American Association of Cereal Chemists (AACC)
Web Address: http://www.scisoc.org/aacc
The AACC is dedicated to the dissemination of technical information and continuing education in cereal science. The association hosts events, short courses, and seminars around the world on a range of subjects, including biotechnology, carbohydrates, engineering and processing, flavors and additives, milling and baking, nutrition, protein, rheology, and rice.

American Chemical Society (ACS)
Web Address: http://pubs.acs.org
The ACS now keeps their publications catalog on-line and accessible through the Internet. For instance, they list a new publication "The Internet: A Guide for Chemists" which provides details about electronic lists, electronic conferencing, chemisty and gophers, as well as chemistry and the World Wide Web. In addition, ACS publishes a list of software for data management, pharmaceutical chemistry, analytical and environmental chemistry, and more.

American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
Web Address: http://www.ansi.org
While ANSI is closely involved in promoting and facilitating voluntary standards and conformity assessment systems in the United States, it does not develop the actual standards. Instead, ANSI facilitates development by establishing consensus among qualified groups. The institute represents the interests of some 1400 organizations.

American Oil Chemists' Society (AOCS)
Web Address: http://www.aocs.org
The American Oil Chemists' Society (AOCS) is an international society serving the interests of scientists and chemists with an interest in the science and technology of fats and oils as well as proteins, surfactants, and detergents. The association has more than 5,000 members in over 90 countries. Short courses, books, publications, and other educational tools are available.

AOAC International
Web Address: http://www.aoac.org
The AOAC (formerly the Association of Official Analytical Chemists) is an association of scientists devoted to the validation of chemical and microbiological analytical methods and promotion of quality measurements in the analytical sciences.

ASQC
Web Address: http://www.asqc.org
The American Society for Quality Control (ASQC) contains a variety of information on products, programs and services related to quality assurance, control and management. The ASQC itself is the premier quality organization in the US.
