About the 1998 LIMS Conference
The Twelfth International LIMS Conference (LIMS-12) will be held June
8-11 1998, at the Westin William Penn hotel in Pittsburgh, PA. The only
international conference of its kind, LIMS-12 will address key LIMS issues
facing research, pharmaceutical, chemical, environmental, clinical and food
laboratories.
The theme of the 1998 program is "The Changing Landscape of LIMS:
Tools, Concepts, Integration, Challenges, New Horizons, and Issues".
The varied program covers numerous LIMS topics that range from validation
to leading edge technological innovations to industry-specific LIMS solutions.
An accompanying exhibition offers an excellent opportunity to view the latest
offerings from LIMS vendors and service providers.
Papers will be presented by an international collection of authors from
prestigious organizations, while vendor workshop and interactive breakout
sessions provide an in-depth look at specific aspects of managing the laboratory
information environment.
Additional details about the conference including abstracts, costs and deadlines
as well as an on-line registration form will be posted when available.
The 1996 LIMS-10 Conference was the most recent International LIMS Conference
held in the US. The annual LIMS Conference is organized by the non-profit
LIMS Institute and run by volunteers. Proceeds from the conferences go toward
subsequent conferences and to support science and technology education.
