The LIMSource is designed to provide helpful information about the selection, installation, and management of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). It is an on-line resource for LIMS professionals regardless of department or discipline, from the lab to Information Technology (IT) to quality assurance. The LIMSource seeks to cover LIMS issues in a variety of industries -- from environmental to pharmaceutical -- as well as provide comprehensive lists of LIMS products, vendors, books, and more. Following is a brief list of the contents of this site.
About the LIMSource Contains a brief page on the purpose of the web site and this contents list. Other pages in this area include "An Introduction to LIMS" and the "Guest Book" that allows you to sign on to the mailing list to be kept up-to-date on special offers, significant new information, and more.

Applications Provides links throughout the LIMSource to various pages specific to an application area, making it easy to locate information that pertains to a particular subject. Application areas include environmental, pharmaceutical, quality and more.

LIMS/Letter Contains a "Letter from the Editor" that describes the contents and purpose of the LIMS/Letter, an in-depth newsletter that provides concise, informative articles on the latest LIMS technology and products as well as industry trends, applications, and more. User Community Contains "LIMS Tribe" information, from details about the LIMS Institute to background and sign up facts about the LIMS Mailing List. The LIMS Institute is the oldest organization in the world devoted to the dissemination of LIMS information, and is responsible for organizing the annual International LIMS Conferences. The LIMS Mailing List is an 800-person strong user group of LIMS professionals who regularly pose technical questions and provide answers.
