BSI, QUALITY ASSURANCE
Tom Harland, Acting Director & General Manager

BSI Quality Assurance, the certification arm of the British Standards Institution (BSI), has been the pioneer of many widely recognized assessment and certification schemes for companies and products and is now one of the world's largest and most experienced certification bodies.

Since publishing the first quality management systems standard in 1979, BSI has undertaken ISO 9000 assessments all over the world and across most manufacturing and service industries. Indeed, BSI QA has now registered over 16,000 organizations to ISO 9000, of which 2,500 are from the information systems sector.

BSI is committed to customer care and sets out to establish close working relationships with each individual client, providing expert advice, help, and support at every stage of assessment. This commitment carries on into the continuing assessment cycle to help ensure that the client receives the maximum benefit from their registration.

BSI QA assessments have gained the international reputation of being some of the most thorough and it is for that reason that BSI's Registered Firms mark has grown into the most respected and recognized mark in the world, currently recognized in over 60 countries.

Through its International Training division, BSI is able to assist organizations by offering a comprehensive range of ISO 9000 training courses helping, to quote the words of the quality guru Juran, to 'drive out the fear'.
