FISONS INSTRUMENTS, INC.
Gary Miyahara, Quality Manager
Fisons Instruments, Inc., which sells, distributes, and services instruments
and systems within North America, is pursuing ISO registration.
Strict adherence to an ISO 9000 registration guideline does not itself guarantee
a company will improve nor be able to provide any benefit to the external
customer; however, you will attain a consistency in production which may
be the basis for improvement. The question is whether this is adequate to
support your current business activities.
We made the ISO 9000 registration program a part of our Total Quality Management
(TQM) implementation process in order to align the program activities towards
moving one step closer to our Quality Vision. In our approach, we are correcting
deficiencies in our primary processes which require immediate improvement,
and then standardizing the processes in order to better meet the needs of
the customer. Although this path is longer, it establishes a foundation
to support our customer and business concerns.
Our objective is to establish a consistency in performance that acts as
a springboard for a revolutionary rate of improvement so we may move closer
to providing products and services that always meet the needs of the customer.
