LDC has a diverse background in QC laboratory environments which includes materials testing, industrial process control, medical devices, and biopharmaceuticals. LDC has extensive experience with the Applied Biosystems SQL*LIMS products and possesses over 17 years of hands-on experience in LIMS system implementation and management. LDC operates with the conviction that "the objective of a LIMS implementation is to yield a system that is in a continuous state of control and consistently performs as intended, meeting its pre-determined requirements and quality attributes." LDC's expertise can play a valuable role at any stage of a LIMS project. Expertise can be applied from the initial project planning phase through system roll-out. LDC works closely with the client to ensure there is self-sufficiency upon separation. LDC's services can be tailored to meet the client's needs depending on the phase of the project. LDC offers the following LIMS implementation services: Documentation of Functional Requirements The Functional Requirements Document becomes the foundation of system validation. In cases where functional requirements have not been formally established, LDC can perform a fact finding mission and prepare the Functional Requirements Document (FRD) for the proposed LIMS. Overall Project Planning Assistance Implementation objectives, detailed tasks and timelines are carefully planned to achieve maximum return for the organization. Master Data (Template) Configuration and Process Mapping LDC will evaluate the laboratory and overall business process to derive an optimum LIMS template configuration that also meets the system requirements and business process defined by the organization. LDC will document the organization's data model configuration and recommend an effective template change control process to ensure that data integrity is maintained throughout the life of the system. Key-User Mentoring and End-User Training LDC works closely with team members to develop a confident System Administrator and knowledgeable super-users. This ensures that LIMS will remain in a continuous state of control for the life-time of the system, especially during times of process change. LDC can also provide end-user training that includes a documented plan, training classes with hands-on exercises and a training manual. Validation Assistance For regulated industries, LDC can assist the client's validation experts with the planning and preparation of the validation documentation, including the development and execution of OQ, User Acceptance and PQ test protocols, and final reports. System Documentation An accurately documented system is vital to ensure consistent system performance and control. LDC will document the overall LIMS policies, change control processes, and standard operating procedures. |
