Antek develops systems to improve the efficiency and quality of laboratory procedures through data acquisition, analysis reporting, and quality control. Their LIS, LabDAQ, can be directly interfaced to laboratory instrumentation so that patient data is directly transmitted and stored by the system, eliminating the issues surrounding transcription and data review. All manual assays, such as rapid pregnancy assays, are also entered into the system. Physicians can review a consolidated patient report containing chemistry, hematology, and other information on a single page report.

LabDAQ is a PC-based system. It was originally developed for the physician office laboratory (POL) environment, and is now used throughout POL, reference lab, and hospital environments. A Quality Control module is available. Other options include automated remote printing by fax or printer, bar code label printing, and interfaces to filing and medical records systems. Prices start at less than $8000 and include hardware, software, services, training and warranty.
