The Lab Wizard LIS is a real-time interactive computer system designed to
improve workflow and eliminate paperwork chores in the laboratory. It can
streamline the processing of patient specimens, flag abnormal test results,
display result trends, and monitor quality control. A set of workload statistics
included in the system measures the work effort required to perform tests
and helps administrators make staffing decisions. LAB Wizard also includes
patient demographic data; requisition entry; specimen collection and verification;
worksheets; result entry, verification and inquiry; patient reports; result
statistics; and billing and revenue information.
