Northern Software makes software for medical technologists, specializing
in solutions for hospitals or clinics, physician group practices or specialized
reference labs. They even address veterinary samples. The company was
founded in 1984 by a medical technologist writing interfaces to clinical
analyzers for other software companies. They now offer their own Laboratory
Information System (LIS) that has hundreds of features and user definable
options. Their full range of PC-based LIS solutions includes entry level
single user systems as well as multi-user, multi-tasking, multi-language,
multi-workstation solutions.
