Triple G Corporation develops and distributes scalable laboratory information systems combining UNIX, 4GL, RDBMS and client-server technologies. The relational data management system and client-server technologies provide open, robust and flexible applications. All laboratory
modules are fully integrated and reside on a single database. Triple G provides functionality and flexibility in all areas of the clinical laboratory including Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Anatomic Pathology, Cytology and Quality Control. Information sharing is achieved
across numerous platforms in single and multi-site facilities.

Triple G was established in 1988 with the goal of developing an entirely new laboratory information system specifically designed to support the emerging health care delivery models. From its inception, the ULTRA LIS incorporated the needs of the integrated delivery services environment including multi-site operation, extensive outreach programs, service orientation toward the providers, easy integration of the various information system environments that would be encountered, extensive support for local and wide area networking and the ability to handle large volumes and a large number of concurrent users while maintaining excellent throughput and response.

ULTRA LIS was implemented using Open System concepts, including the use of a true relational database and fourth generation languages. The first system was installed in late 1990 in Australia and today there are 36 systems operational in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, US and Malaysia. Most of the installations are distributed, hybrid, multi-site laboratories and hospitals some of which process in excess of 12,000 patient requests per day.
