As a leader in cheminformatics and analytical informatics, they publish fully verified spectral databases, with a collection that contains MS, NMR, IR, and Raman. Their parent company is a multinational manufacturer and distributor of life science research products and clinical diagnostics, based in Hercules, California, and serving more than 70,000 research and industry customers worldwide. Software products include their KnowItAll Informatics System. KnowItAll is a complete collection of software tools and data for multiple spectral techniques and cheminformatics all within one interface. The latest release, version 2.0, offers the ability to draw, store, and search complex mixtures of stereoisomers, including enantiomers and diastereomers; 3D structure viewing capability; and, software options to both search XNMR databases and build XNMR databases with assignments. The Cheminformatics Edition of the KnowItAll Informatics System allows the user to draw, store, and search chemical structures complete with unparalleled recognition capabilities for stereoisomers, including complex mixtures of enantiomers and diastereomers. When combined with the power of KnowItAll's Database Building option, the Cheminformatics Edition allows the user to build searchable databases of chemical structures and properties. This software is ideal for structure management functions, such as chemical inventory management and chemical structure management and also includes advanced features for publishing reports. The ADME/Tox Edition of the KnowItAll Informatics System is the first integrated desktop informatics solution for ADME/Tox evaluation and is the result of Bio-Rad's collaboration with ComGenex, Inc. and CompuDrug International, Inc. The KnowItAll ADME/Tox Edition is a fully integrated suite of ADME/Tox Informatics tools aimed at reducing the time and cost involved in drug discovery and development. It includes applications to identify compounds with potentially poor absorption profiles, to predict a compound's metabolic fate, and to assess its potential toxicity. The metabolism application incorporates a rule-based system for evaluating metabolism using known bio-transformation pathways collected from extensive in vivo experimentation and can predict multiple metabolic steps, including Phase I and Phase II metabolism. The toxicity application provides assessment of a variety of hazard classes, including carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, teratogenicity, and skin sensitivity. All applications in the KnowItAll ADME/Tox Edition, including modules for building databases, importing and drawing chemical structures, and producing professional, one-click reports, are fully integrated. Other editions to the KnowItAll product line include Analytical, Forensic, ChemWindow, and Academic. All editions provide database search and retrieval tools to manage analytical data from one or more techniques including NMR, MS, IR, UV/Vis, Raman, and GC and includes sophisticated reporting and drawing tools that allow the combination of analytical information from multiple techniques, tables, and more in one easy-to-generate report. |
