JobTime Systems, Inc., started in 1984 with the launch of their simulation-based
Finite Capacity Scheduling system. Since then, the company has specialized
in scheduling software to improve manufacturing on-time performance.
The company has created an interface between LIMS and their JobTime System
Finite Capacity Scheduling system. The interface is being used to schedule
test labs, both for fabrication of test samples and the use of test samples.
The system provides visibility for when work is scheduled to start and
finish, and is constrained by actual capacity of laboratory equipment and
technologists. No two jobs can be assigned to the same machine or the same
technologist at the same time. Orders are assigned based on the user priority
plus the requested test completion date.
JobTime solutions have been applied successfully in discrete, repetitive,
process, engineer-to-order and assemble-to-order manufacturing. JobTime
offers a full range of services including analysis, modeling, training,
integration, customization and support. Their primary focus is Finite Capacity
Short Interval Scheduling combined with Advanced Demand and Capacity Planning.
