AJ Blomesystem GmbH has 25 years of experience in the LIMS industry, with
some 15,000 users in a wide range of industries that includes global players
such as BASF, Bayer, Campina, Coca-Cola, Nestlé and Radeberger.
Founded in 1981 as Karl Blome AG, the company was renamed to AJ Blomesystem,
with
Analytik Jena AG, developer and supplier of analytical and bioanalytical instruments,
subsequently acquiring 75.2% shares of AJ Blomesystem in 2001. The remaining
24.8% shares belong to the employees of AJ Blomesystem.
AJ Blomesystem's LIMS, LABbase, was constructed as a sustainable investment
– longterm applied product strategies and competent service through
a tight network of authorized partners are integral components of the company
philosophy. The LABbase LIMS is based on the company's proprietary blomesystem
solution, which has all the functionalities required for the daily tasks in
a professional laboratory. Within LABbase, modular applications are
preconfigured and can be customized to special requirements. The modular
design and the integrated customization tools allow the company's licensed
contractors to address customer requirements individually, modify the analyses,
and adjust the reporting to changing requirements. Modular extensions are
available for batch processes and other workflows.
The basic configuration of LABbase includes:
