AgileBio develops server-based applications for
life science investigators to save, manage, share and analyse biological information.
They build and implement custom and packaged IT solutions, focusing on Open

for biosciences labs.
Founded in 2002, AgileBio originally launched as an online portal for scientists
interested in biology and informatics known as JustBio.com. After the online
portal, AgileBio emerged as a solutions provider specializing in collaborative
tools to enhance research productivity, and now offers LabCollector Suite,
LabPortal and LabTools.
Their LabCollector LIMS is a collaborative Intranet LIMS solution. It is composed of five integrated modules: Strains, Plasmids, Primers, Sequences and Reagents & Chemicals. A LIMS-in-a-box solution, the main concept behind LabCollector is that each scientist in the lab can manage quickly his data and make them available to the rest of the lab community. Due to Intranet support, data can be accessed from any connected computer in the lab, which accelerates information retrieval. LabCollector is constructed around an administration core and a user area. The user area allows users to browse and search the database. The administration platform, which is user-restricted, allows managing the database. A free 90-day trial copy can be downloaded from their website.
Recently released were LabCollector Enterprise, an enterprise solution designed to reduce maintenance costs, and LabCollector ASP, an online solution that requries no purchase of hardware or software.
In addition, the company writes custom LIMS solutions that deliver interfaces and features specific to a particular lab's requirements.
