Founded in 1992 by computer specialists with pharmaceutical and chemistry backgrounds, Alcor provides a LIMS called LABTEC that is designed to manage structured as well as unstructured information. It is designed primarily for R&D data management and is suitable for a wide range of applications, including chemistry, pharmacology, and clinical research. The product is based on a generic database that supports common structure of a wide range of research projects. It supports multi-level bills of material, and is multi-project, multi-lingual, and multi-user.
