The life sciences business of Amersham, Amersham Biosciences, is a world leader in developing and providing integrated systems and solutions for disease research, drug development and manufacture. Their Scierra Laboratory Workflow System (LWS) is a data-fluency-enabled LIMS that offers a unified platform to support and manage data across multiple instruments, users and applications for sequensing, genotyping, microarrays and proteomics.

The Scierra LWS LIMS allows scientists to submit samples for multiple applications and request work via secure access to a standard web interface. Laboratory managers implement standard laboratory practices and monitor the entire workflow with easy to use reports and query capabilities. Research associates gain simple access to protocols and troubleshooting features. Bioinformaticists have access to all the data and results for further analysis and mining.
