LABLynx, Inc. was once a division of Atlanta Systems Consultants, Inc. (ASC) and was spun off as an independent LIMS and Laboratory Automation Software company in July of 2000 with new ownership. LABLynx was first introduced as a LIMS product at the Pittsburgh Conference in 1997. LABLynx LIMS was one of the first web browser-based LIMS solutions, operating with Microsoft Internet Explorer as the user interface. With a current focus on government, environmental, manufacturing and forensics laboratories, LABLynx has provided laboratory information products and services to many different industries.

LABLynx LIMS is a complete Internet/Intranet laboratory automation and data management solution. The LABLynx design uses readily available, proven components and not proprietary languages. This allows LABLynx to be configurable to accommodate a variety of laboratory needs and integrate with many third party software packages. The system also utilizes Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle for its database backend.

The latest product line from LABLynx is called E-Lab. The LABLynx E-Lab is the evolution of LIMS into an enterprise level solution. E-Lab applications are web browser-based laboratory enterprise solutions that are available for traditional deployment at a customer's site, or as an ASP (Application Service Provider) solution.
