Datasign is a Swiss organization that develops software solutions for the
pharmaceutical industry in close collabortion with Hoffman-La Roche Ltd.
Their Kinlims product, now in its version 4 release, is a protocol-driven
GLP-compliant LIMS for bioanalytical pharmacokinetic studies in research,
nonclinical and clinical development. This state of the art client/server
application is written with modern development tools and is fully based
on the industry standard Oracle RDBMS. Key features are the support of LC/MS
(Sciex and Micromass), HPLC, GC/MS and ELISA, an elegant handling of complicated
study designs (i.e. multicenter studies), fully barcode driven sample handling,
end-user programming tools for customizing worksheet layouts, and functionality
for creating final result tables. Kinlims allows top down study planning
as well as bottom-up sample driven automatic study design. Interfaces exist
to the MS Office suite of products and to Oracle-Clinical. Their customers
have been successfully audited by national regulatory authorities. Other
products include AMOS, a fully automated client/server data management system
specifically designed for bacterial mutagenicity testing (Ames-Tests).
