bizzApps, formerly known as Cordys, formerly known as Vanenburg,
formerly known as Guardess, and before that Delaware TQM Products,
is a global provider of real-time enabling and application solutions based
on Web Services that allow enterprises to easily define, deploy and manage
business processes that are highly flexible, collaborative and involve seamless
interaction.
In June 2005, Cordys intensified the focus on its platform activities and
moved its application activities into a separate organization called bizzApps.
Cordys considers further focus the key for success of both platform and applications
activities. Separating the platform from the applications business, Cordys
expects to better meet customer's needs by allowing staff to focus more on
their core competencies. As
a result of the separation, the activities around Cordys' lean manufacturing
solutions -- viz. the Quality Manager and Kanban Manager -- were transferred
into bizzApps. bizzApps will focus on building best-in-class service oriented
business applications based on Cordys Business Collaboration Platform. bizzApps
will serve as a model ISV alliance to other companies, using Cordys as the
platform of choice. bizzApps will solely focus on solutions for the manufacturing
industry. The company will enable manufacturing enterprises to achieve operational
excellence through standards based off-the-shelf packaged composite applications
to optimize business processes across their value chain.
bizzApps provides Quality Management solutions for the Chemical, Metal, Consumer
Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, High-tech equipment, Aerospace & Defense,
Electronics, and Automotive industries. bizzApps enables manufacturing companies
to manage their quality chain from R&D to after sales services. Quality
Navigator, bizzApps' integrated enterprise quality management suite, helps
customers achieve requisite quality levels at lower costs. Quality Navigator
brings content in the customer's Supply Chain concept through global integration
of Research & Development, Vendor Monitoring, LIMS, Recipe Management,
Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Non-Conformance Handling, Statistical
Process Control and Health, Safety and Environment.
Quality Navigator consist of four main modules: Quality Navigator for Research
& Development (R&D), Quality Navigator for Quality Assurance and Quality
Control (QA/QC), Quality Navigator for Manufacturing Quality Execution (Q-MES),
and Quality Navigator for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE). The LIMS functionality
is part of the kernel. Quality Navigator is made up of separate components
that enable gradual, step by step implementation, easy customization, and
high flexibility. Quality Navigator can be implemented as a "stand-alone"
quality management system, as an integrated quality solution of an Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) System, or in combination with custom built legacy
MIS applications. Recently Cordys introduced Quality Navigator eGO,
an Application Service Provider (ASP) enabled version of the Quality Navigator
suite, which allows large enterprises to use the software within an internal
ASP framework or through independent ASP companies by using the Internet.
bizzApps sells and markets their solutions through direct sales to end-users
and through business partners that include dealers, software integrators and
laboratory instrument vendors. Integration of Vanenburg software with third
party IT solutions like ERP, MES, SCADA and MRP is a key part of the corporate
strategy.
The Quality Navigator suite enables customers to comply with standards such
as ISO and QS-9000, and regulations such as the FDA's. Communication with
handheld or mobile, the Internet, WAP or security via Fingerprint recognition
are some of the many possibilities of Quality Navigator.
Cordys/Vanenburg finalized the purchase of Guardess
and their web-services based Quality Management Solution in March 2003. The
agreement with Guardess was reached at the end of 2002 and covered all Guardess
assets, including the Quality Navigator LIMS solution.
The company purchased Triple P LabInfo Systems in August 1996. Triple
P developed the Didyma product line. Didyma LIMS offered full of functionality
for all laboratories. These products have been folded into the Delaware Computing/Guardess
product line with an upgrade path factored in.
The company also purchased MAQS (Management Architecture
for Quality of Service) which develops a Quality Management (QM) solution
for discrete industries. MAQS solutions provide a framework for generic quality
management based on object-oriented middleware.
