SQL*LIMS software is a solution built by combining a set of specific functional modules. This  allows users to create a system that meets specific needs without customization or outside assistance. The entire SQL*LIMS family of products are built on the industry standard Oracle RDBMS using the Oracle Developer 2000 4GL tool set. The SQL*LIMS software solution provides a scalable Client/Server architecture that allows users to implement from a simple single tier to more complicated three tier designs.

The SQL*LIMS RDBMS is supported on HP-UX, SUN Solaris, Compaq AXP/OpenVMS and
Windows NT platforms. The SQL*LIMS software client runs on any Microsoft Win98 or NT desktop. SQL*LIMS v4 offers this architecture on the Oracle 8i ORDBMS using Oracle Developer 2000 v6.

Specialized software modules include Stability Study Management and Product Manufacturing. Dynamic security and regulatory compliance features provide an infrastructure to support 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, GLP and cGMP.

The SQL*LIMS system family of solutions includes SQL*GT, a LIMS for genomic and proteomic laboratories, and BioLIMS, a genetic information management system for managing sequencing and fragment data.
