Spectra QEST is a specialist software vendor that provides software solutions to the construction material testing and production industries, including their QESTLab LIMS solution.
 
QESTLab is a LIMS specifically designed for use in construction materials and geotechnical testing laboratories. It is currently used by leading companies in Australia, New Zealand and the United States. QESTLab is a 'best of breed' system that offers unparalleled functionality that assists in virtually every aspect of the laboratory. It helps with the management of testing data, it automatically compiles and issues test reports; it has a very comprehensive data analysis and reporting engine; it manages specifications; it includes a comprehensive equipment register (which monitors calibrations of lab instruments; it logs all activities to any sample in a secure audit trail; it includes a multi-tiered security structure for users; it bills and invoices for work done; and, in short, enforces and monitors best practice in laboratory functions.
 
Spectra QEST specializes in implementing QESTLab in medium to large operations (often, but not always, with multiple laboratories) who are looking to introduce standardized work practices across their operations. This includes centralization of data and integration of the LIMS with the company's financial and other corporate systems.

Originally formed in 1984 as a company specialising in concrete laboratory software, the company was formerly known as Spectra Quality Engineering Software Tools Pty. Ltd. before streamlining their name to Spectra QEST and expanding their software and service offerings.
