What's New - March/April 1997

The following is a wrap-up of news of interest during the months of March and April 1997.

The official announcement was made April 15 -- Laboratory Microsystems has been acquired by Axiom. A new company name, LabVantage Solutions, is now in use, and all the LIMS solutions acquired by Axiom will be marketed under the LabMaestro product name.

ETA Introduces New Instrument Data Loader

Galactic Introduces New Windows versions of GRAMS/32

GraphPad Software Releases Prism for Macintosh

A new version of GraphPad Prism is now available for the Macintosh. Hewlett-Packard Releases New ChemServer Software

New HP ChemServer software release slashes the cost of data acquisition for high-volume chromatographic laboratories. GCs can now be connected to the HP ChemServer automated chromatography system without the need for intermediate data acquisition devices. Hewlett-Packard Announces Internet-Ready IIM Application for QC Labs

A new Internet-ready version of HP's ChemLMS QC Client LIMS is now available. An integrated information management (IIM) application for QC Labs, QC Client is a preconfigured, PC-based client application for HP ChemLMS that offers LIMS capabilities. Hewlett-Packard Now Offers Full NT Desktop Integration for its IIM Products

All of HP's major integrated information management (IIM) products now support the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 desktop environment. The unified environment eliminates the need to run different systems. This means, for instance, that the user interface for the HP ChemLMS QC Client LIMS and the user interface for the HP ChemServer Model 4930 Laboratory Automation System are now available from a single NT client workstation. All actions can now be performed using standard Windows NT user-interface techniques with a minimum number of mouse clicks. MultiSimplex Introduces New Design and Optimization Software

MultiSimplex KB, a subsidiary of Bergstrom & Oberg Software AB, recently launched MultiSimplex version 1.0 software for sequential experimental design and optimization.
