PerkinElmer and Mantra Software Announce Partnership
PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader in scientific instrumentaion and related
software, and Mantra Software Corporation, a leading provider of scientific
data management systems (SDMS) software and services, have announced an
agreement to form a business and technology strategic partnership for drug
discovery and development. The partnership makes data management tools required
for FDA compliance available to pharmaceutical laboratories. Current FDA
regulations require maintenance of safe and secure electronic copies of
all data relating to any drug application -- from drug discovery through
application for FDA approval. The partnership's software has the ability
to archive, serach, and organize data through one central electronic repository
so that many activities which were once performed manually -- such as generating
reports or tracking complex documents -- are now highly automated. For details,
