New Modules Released for Horizon LIMS Version
5.0
There are a number of new modules and features offered in the latest release,
version 5.0, of ChemWare's Horizon LIMS, including a new Setup Manager,
Format X and Level III Deliverables modules, and Voice/Faxback report delivery.
The Horizon Setup Manager provides a powerful new interface for configuring
the laboratory's test methods, allowing the user to quickly view the relationships
between control tables, edit, document and navigate the database in a fraction
of the time. The Format X and the Level III Deliverables modules combine
to provide a "super EDD" and "CLP-like" hardcopy reporting
package for Horizon environmental LIMS users. Format X is so-named because
it is actually a superset of the EPA Agency Standard A/B EDD formats, and
allows the laboratory to build its own custom EDD parsers for a single file
standard. The Level III Deliverables module produces organic and inorganic
reporting forms at the push-of-a-button, parsing the Format X file and populating
the forms with no manual "back-end" data entry. The forms are
Microsoft Access-based and include full source code for user customization.
The Horizon Voice/Faxback Report Delivery Method enables the laboratory's
customer to listen to an automated recording of test results over touch
tone phone lines or initiate a fax-back of results to an unsecured fax machine.
For more detail, contact ChemWare at (919) 847-6340.
